Palgongsan National Park (Pagyesa Temple District)
In Korean: 팔공산국립공원(파계사지구)
Palgongsan National Park (Pagyesa Temple District) is an area centered on Pagyesa Temple, south of Pagyejae Pass on the western foothills of Palgongsan Mountain.
Sutaegol Valley and Pagye Campground (auto camping ground) are nearby. The name Pagyesa comes from the idea of gathering the nine streams around the temple into one. The temple was the royal family's prayer temple during Yeongjo's reign, and it keeps cultural properties such as Yeongjo's dopo robe and Wontongjeon Hall. It is always open, and admission and parking are free.
