Pagyesa Temple is a branch temple of Donghwasa Temple on Palgongsan Mountain, and its temple records say that the royal teacher Simji founded it in 804 (the 5th year of King Aejang).
With Wontongjeon Hall in the center, Jindongnu, Seolseondang, and Jeokmukdang surround it in a square shape. Wontongjeon enshrines the Seated Geonchil Gwaneum Bodhisattva, and the temple keeps the Yeongsanhoesangdo painting (a Treasure) and the robe of King Yeongjo. You can enter the grounds 04:00–17:00.
