It shows the southern limit of where the arborvitae grows, and it was designated Natural Monument No. 1 in Korea. A 2016 survey confirmed 1,423 trees in all, including 1,232 mature trees and 191 young trees. Gwaneumsa Temple stands right next to the cliff. The forest is always open and has no admission fee.
