It was first built in 1791, torn down in 1868 by the order abolishing seowon, and restored in 1914. In 1972 it was moved to its present site at the foot of Samjeongsan Mountain in Urok-ri, Gachang-myeon, and enlarged. Inside are Hyangyangmun Gate, Nokdongsa Shrine, and Chungjeolgwan Hall, and the grave of General Kim Chung-seon is behind them. Admission and parking are both free.
