It opened in December 1994, and its permanent exhibition is divided into the Ancient Culture Room, the Medieval Culture Room, and the Costume Culture Room. The Costume Culture Room covers the history of clothing, drawing on the background of Daegu, which grew through the textile and apparel industry. In the outdoor exhibition area, you can walk past Bronze Age dolmens and house sites, Three Kingdoms-period pottery kilns, and Unified Silla stone pagodas. Admission is free (excluding paid special and planned exhibitions), the museum is closed on Mondays, and entry closes 30 minutes before the end of visiting hours.
