Cheonghoseowon Confucian Academy honors four people: the scholar Modang Son Cheo-nul, who served as a righteous army commander during the Imjin War, and Ryu Si-beon, Jeong Ho-in, and Son Jo-seo.
It was torn down under the order to abolish seowon (1864) and also suffered a fire in 1968. The present lecture hall and the shrine Sanginsa were rebuilt in 1969, and the Modang Seonsaeng Yuheobi monument stands at the entrance. It is open at all times and has no admission fee, but parking is not available.
