Daegubu Suseong Monument was erected in the 6th year of Gojong's reign (1869) by Kim Se-ho, the Gyeongsang Province governor, to commemorate repairs to the collapsed Daegubuseong Fortress.
A monument body sits on a square base stone and is covered with a capstone. Kim Se-ho wrote the inscription himself, and Choe Seok-ro, the official in charge of the construction, wrote the calligraphy. It records the construction work and the rewards given to those who rendered service. After the fortress was torn down in 1906, the monument was moved to Daegu Hyanggyo Confucian School, and in 1980, when Yeongnamjeilgwan was reconstructed, it came to its current site.
