Way to Pokpogol Valley is Daegu Olle Palgongsan Course 7, a one-way route of 8.2 km that starts at the Tapgol hiking trail, passes Sangsanggol and Donghwasa Temple, and reaches Pokpogol.
It takes about 3 hours to walk. Beyond Kkaldak Pass, which has more than 200 wooden steps, Sangsanggol has a tree with clocks hung on it. At Donghwasa Temple you meet Bongseoru Pavilion, Daeungjeon Hall, Biroam Hermitage and the Unification Great Buddha, and past Bonghwangmun Gate you meet the seated Buddha carved on a rock face. You can also walk it in the opposite direction.
