The park has a statue of Gwak Jae-u and the Mangudang Memorial Hall, which keeps his belongings. Yeongnamjeilgwan was the south gate of Daegu Eupseong Fortress and was torn down during the Japanese colonial period. It was moved to its present site and rebuilt in 1980. You can also see Joyang Hall, a base of the local independence movement, in the park.
