How to get to Hancheonseowon Confucian Academy
The two brothers helped Taejo Wang Geon escape in the Battle of Dongsu on Palgongsan Mountain and were killed in action. After the academy was torn down under the order abolishing seowon, only an altar and a memorial hall were kept, and the academy was restored in 1989. There are 3 buildings on an 800 pyeong site. A ginkgo tree designated Dalseong-gun Protected Tree No. 8-1 stands in the courtyard. You can always visit for free, and parking is available.
