How to get to Gunwi Namcheon Historic House
It was the home of Hong U-tae, the 10th-generation descendant of Hong No, and was also called Sangmaetaek and Ssangbaekdang. According to the ridgepole inscription, the sarangchae (men's quarters) was built in 1836 (year 2 of King Heonjong). A shrine stands inside the wall behind the anchae (women's quarters), and a natural-stone wall surrounds the house. Tea ceremony, Korean food, and gugak (Korean traditional music) experiences are offered. Hours and fees differ by facility, so you can check them on the website.
