Daegu Palgeosanseong Fortress is a Three Kingdoms-period mountaintop-style fortress built in the 5th–6th centuries along the natural terrain of Hamjisan Mountain.
A 1999 surface survey confirmed a wall circumference of about 1,136.8 m. Excavation uncovered the hyeonmun-style structure and curved walls (gokseong) common in Silla mountain fortresses. From the summit, you look down on the Daegu Basin to the south. It is always open, has no admission fee, and has parking.
