How to get to March 1st Independence Movement Road
During the March 8, 1919 independence movement, Daegu students used it as a passage to avoid the Japanese colonial authorities. Taegeukgi (Korean national flag) banners and photos and captions from the March 1st Movement hang along both sides of the steps. At the top, the road leads to Cheongna Hill and the missionary houses.
