How to get to Daegu Gyesan Cathedral
After a fire in 1901 burned the hanok-style church, it was rebuilt as a Gothic-style church, and it is the first Western-style church built in Gyeongsang Province. Father Peuwanel oversaw the construction, the stained glass was brought from France, and the church faces Daegu Jeil Church across a single road. It is one of the few churches in the city center that still ring the bell by hand.
