Because the monk Iryeon wrote the Samguk Yusa in Gunwi, murals telling stories from the Samguk Yusa are painted throughout the village. The village has Hwabon Station and “Eomma Appa Eoryeosseul Jeoge” (When Mom and Dad Were Young), a closed school remodeled to bring back the look of a 1970s village. Visitors can make robot clocks, decorate umbrellas and bracelets, and try a wildflower experience. Parking is free.
