The monk Iryeon lived here for 5 years from 1284 (year 10 of King Chungnyeol) and wrote the Samgugyusa. Excavations confirmed the foundations of Unified Silla buildings, and the Pagoda and Stele of National Master Bogak at Ingaksa Temple, both Treasures, remain. The site is always open, has no admission fee, and has parking.
