National Debt Repayment Movement Memorial Park
In Korean: 국채보상운동기념공원
National Debt Repayment Movement Memorial Park is a downtown park that honors both the spirit of the National Debt Repayment Movement, which began in Daegu in 1907, and the overcoming of the IMF economic crisis.
It has the Dalgubeol Great Bell and its bell pavilion, poem monuments carved with writings by local calligraphers, a footpath lined with maxim monuments, a fountain, and a Plaza of Harmony. About a thousand trees are planted around the wide lawn plaza, and the park is open free of charge at all times.
