Daegu Hyanggyo Confucian School is a former state-run local educational institution where Daeseongjeon, Myeongnyundang, Dongjae, Seojae, and other buildings remain.
Within the grounds are also a fortress-building stele and a fortress-repair stele that record how Daegu fortress was built and repaired, as well as memorial steles and virtue-praising steles for provincial governors, magistrates, and others. It burned down during the Imjin War, was rebuilt near Dalseong Park in 1599, moved to Gyo-dong in 1605, and came to its present site in 1932. The Seokjeon ritual is still held here in spring and autumn. It is always open, and parking is free.
