Cheombaekdang is a building built in 1896 (the 33rd year of King Gojong) to honor the filial conduct of U Hyo-jung and the loyalty of U Myeong-sik, and to teach the Danyang U clan members who lived in Gwang-ri.
It was repaired in 1924. It was named in the sense of looking up to Baekbatgol, where U Myeong-sik's tomb lies. Under a gable roof, the central daecheong floor is set higher than the side toemaru verandas.
