Anilsa Temple is a branch temple of Donghwasa Temple on the slope of Apsan Mountain, founded in 927 (year 1 of King Gyeongsun of Silla) by Seon Master Yeongjo.
On January 15, 1915, 13 people, including Yun Sang-tae and Seo Sang-il, gathered at this temple and formed the central headquarters of the Joseon National Sovereignty Restoration Society. The wooden seated Shakyamuni Buddha statue in the main hall was made in 1694 and stood at Daegoksa Temple in Uiseong-gun until it was moved to this temple in 1954. You can see the city of Daegu in the distance from the temple. Parking is not available, and there is no admission fee.
