How to get to February 28th Jungang Memorial Park
It commemorates the February 28 student democratic uprising, which Daegu students started in 1960 against the Syngman Rhee Liberal Party regime. The park has a central fountain that sprays water from a semicircular sculpture, 3 lighted fountains, an artificial stream, and a poem monument for the poet Kim Yun-sik. 28 species of trees, about 1,000 in all, grow here. The park has no parking lot of its own, so use a nearby public parking lot.
